PROJECT AT A GLANCE

Ziegler Park has undergone a major transformation, turning a once-underutilized 1.4-acre space into a vibrant 4.5-acre community hub in the heart of Over-the-Rhine. After years of disinvestment, the park was reimagined through a collaborative effort with local residents, city agencies, and design professionals to create an inclusive public space focused on recreation, connection, and neighborhood pride.

Completed in 2017, the revitalized park features a full-size pool, upgraded basketball courts, a children’s play area, and open green space. A unique pool membership model helps ensure accessibility across income levels, while active programming brings year-round activity to the space. The park is owned by the City of Cincinnati and operated by 3CDC, with the pool managed by SwimSafe.

In 2023, Ziegler Park expanded further with a $3 million addition that extended the park onto Woodward and Yukon Streets. The expansion introduced new gathering areas, a synthetic turf for games, and public art led by Black Art Speaks—adding even more energy and flexibility to one of the neighborhood’s most beloved public spaces.
